Mapfre, pronounced “MAH-fray,” is an insurance carrier that is recognized around the globe. The company was originally founded in Spain in 1933, and since then has grown to a company with a presence on five continents, 36,000 employees, and over 23 million customers. They are proud to be the 10^th largest insurer in Europe, the largest carrier in Spain and Latin America, and a growing force within the United States insurance market.

Mapfre’s presence within the United States was established with their acquisition of Massachusetts based Commerce Insurance Group in 2008. The past seven years have yielded tremendous growth for the company as they continue to innovate and introduce new insurance products. They entered the life insurance marketplace in August of 2014. They also released a commercial auto and package products throughout 2015. The company has shown a commitment not only to delivering a quality insurance product, they have also made strides to give back and connect with the community.

The carrier has a number of initiatives that are participated in by employees and agents across the country. Blood drives, food drives, and holiday toy drives are just a couple outreaches that have become staples within the company’s community partnership program.
